Homework : Tahunia | Big Brother, Israel 2013

These notebooks were painted in acrylic while watching the reality series 'Big Brother', on Israeli TV this year. Big Brother is one of the reality series I enjoy and use for my work. The first notebook, starring Tahunia Rubal, the winner of this season, was created when I was captured by Tahunia, a young Ethiopian model, who's frankness and beauty caught my curiosity. I decided to make a fan notebook, recording things she said and in an attempt to capture her undeniable beauty.  The 2nd Notebook of the two finalist's Levana Gugman Zoharim and Tahunia Rubal. 

The idea of a piece in a notebook was initiated by curator Prof. Guy Morag, who gave artists empty notebooks and invited me to exhibit this notebook in his exhibition 'Not Book', now showing in Bet Hair in Tel Aviv, alongside hundreds of known and less known Israeli and international artists, till January 2014.
