Margot Gran, born 1967, USA, Lives and works in Karkur, Israel
Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate with honors, from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, (1991). Award winner of the Mary Fisher Award (1991), Keren Sharet Grants (1991, 1992) and the Artist Encouragement Award (1995). Artist Teacher Grant (2013-2014). Graduate of Art Therapy Studies, Bet Berl College, finished with honors (2001). Margot Gran works in watercolor on paper, oil and sketching engraved in ceramics. Her work brings a close and intimate view of the supposedly simple things in everyday life and objects from the kitchen and from the natural world in the garden and landscapes along the roads in Israel. She has exhibited in single and group shows in Israel and worldwide. The Artits House in Jerusalem , Artists House Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv Museum, Eretz Yisrael Museum Tel Aviv, Cabri Gallery, Cliff Gallery Netanya, City House Tel Aviv, Hansen House Jerusalem, Print Workshop Jerusalem, Kaner House Rishon L'Tzion, Artspace TLV, Triangle Art Space Tel Aviv and North Carolina Museum of Art,.
